Namaste!

My name is Hari Krishna Khadka, the Shree Khada Devi Primary School headmaster – Kasheri, Barhabise ward No. 5, Sindhupalchok. To me, education is about building character, enriching minds, and varied experiences that last a lifetime. Having quality, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a school’s success.

Talking about the history of our school, it was established in the year 1978 A.D. There

were the classes from ECD to grade 5. With several requests and the process, we upgraded classes from 5 to 8 in 2009. There were 3 buildings having 11 rooms altogether, but the school infrastructure was completely damaged due to the massive earthquake in 2015. Then a temporary learning centre was built from the relief materials from different organizations working on the immediate response after the earthquake. For a year after the earthquake, we faced the problems of rain and heavy storm distracting the learning environment inside the classroom. On the other hand, we were searching for financial support for reconstructing a school building in Kasheri. Fortunately, Namaste Nepal took responsibility for rebuilding an earthquake-proof school building with eight rooms and a 4-room toilet in Kasheri. The construction work has been completed with the great initiation and tireless effort of Namaste Nepal and the school chairperson.

Lastly, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Namaste Nepal Freiberg and Namaste Nepal Kathmandu for your kind support in reconstructing the school in Kasheri. We are looking forward to a long-term relationship with improving education in Kasheri.

Thank you!

Hari Krishna Khadka
