Board Members

Mohan Lal Shrestha

President

Mohan Lal Shrestha is the president of organization who has long been active as a board member of Namaste Nepal. He is the first contact in the Gati village before the Namaste Nepal Kathmandu was established. He is very dedicated in community development and with his nature he was elected as ward chairperson of Barhabise municipality wards number 6 in the year 2018. As a ward chairperson he prepares budget and plan of the concerned ward, collect and maintain data of households, maintain records of public property, conduct child and environment-friendly programs, carry out market monitoring and ensure smooth supply of essential goods and services, initiate action against anyone who builds house without obtaining permission of the local level, and prepare monthly progress report. Moreover, he has served as chairperson of Shree Kali Devi Secondary School for 18 years and in present day is also serving at Gati Kindergarten as chairperson of school management committee. He believes education is the most important thing in order to develop rural villages. According to him, every child deserves to get quality education. That’s why he has been selflessly working to develop education system in Barhabise municipality. His roles as a president of Namaste Nepal is to advised the staff, timely update about the administrative activities and visit the project sites to monitor and observe the activities of the project schools and timely hold the meeting with SMC and teachers.

Durga Das Shrestha

Vice President

Durga Das Shrestha is also the founder member and currently on the post of vice president of Namaste Nepal. Originally, he is from Sakuwa, Gati -9, Sindhupalchok. He works in Borderland resort as a resort manager. He volunteers as a social worker in the community. Moreover, he has well knowledge and ideas on building construction. Based on his knowledge on building construction, Namaste Nepal appointed him as construction director to look after the reconstruction of 7 project schools of Sindhupalchok district.

Chitra Bahadur Rana

Vice President

Chitra Bahadur Rana is currently serving as a board member of the organization. He joined Namaste Nepal in the year 2013 representing from Dansing, Syangja. He is retired Indian army. After retirement from the Indian army, he has been dedicating all his time in development of the community. He is interested in involving himself in social activities which later motivated him in joining Namaste Nepal to improve education system at Galyang and Dansing village of Syangja district. His role as the board member of Namaste Nepal is to monitor the project school of Syangja district i.e. Shree Ram Rajya Basic School and Dansing Kindergarten and update about the progress, needs and problem of the school.

Raj Gyawali

Secretary

Raj Gyawali is general secretary of Namaste Nepal. He belongs from a beautiful place called Gulmi, south-west of Pokhara. He is founder member of Namaste Nepal. After a bachelor in agriculture and a MBA in development studies, Raj got interested in responsible ways to support his country. He loves trekking, mountain biking, bouldering and anything adventurous that you can name. It’s actually this adventurous passion that drove him to open the door of socialtours.com and bring adventure lovers from all over the world to Nepal. His role as the general secretary of Namaste Nepal is to look after & nbsp; organizational leadership and give direction and clarity to the organization’s strategic and policy development. His is also responsible for exercising financial control and budgetary management of the organization and its programs.

Griha Laxmi Tamang

Treasurer

Griha Laxmi Tamang joined Namaste Nepal as Treasurer of Namaste Nepal in July 2019. She is one of the active social motivator from Mandra village. She has worked as health assistant at the community health center in Dandakateri village for 20 years. She has also worked as part time health assistant for several years at Gati health centre supported by Namaste Nepal. During the establishment year of Mandra Kindergarten she supported our organization by providing space at her home to run the kindergarten classes till the building of Mandra Kindergarten was not competed. After retiring from health center, she served as chairperson of the Shree Gorakhnath Basic School in Mandra for three years. Her role as treasurer is to acts as an information and reference point for the Chair and other committee members: clarifying financial implications of proposals; confirming legal requirements; outlining the current financial status; and retrieving relevant documentation.

Buddha Shrestha

Executive Member

Buddha Shrestha joined as a board member of Namaste Nepal in July, 2019. He lives in Singarche, Sindhupalchok. He is a young active member in Singarche village. He is serving as office assistant secretary in ward office of Barhabise municipality ward No. 5 and 6 (former Gati VDC). He has a sound knowledge of the formal and official activities, planning and implementation of program from government for local development since he is associated at ward office for a long time. His role as a board member of Namaste Nepal is to timely monitor the project school of Singarche i.e. Shree Singarche Basic School and update about the progress and needs of the school.

Tara Bahadur Shrestha

Executive Member

Tara Bahadur Shrestha joined Namaste Nepal as a board member in August, 2019. He is an active member of Dandakateri village. He has been involving in various social activities in village and served on a key member in executive board. He has assisted in various activities of Namaste Nepal in Dandakateri. Basically, he supported on arrangement and looking after school building construction of Shree Seti Devi Basic School; one of the project school of Namaste Nepal. At that time he was a chairman of school management committee. And now, after completion of his tenure he is representing as board member of Namaste Nepal and doing volunteering work during the time of need. He timely monitors the project schools of Dandakateri to know the progress and activities of the school and when needed he consult the teachers to perform even better.

Sankar Sunar

Executive Member

Sankar Sunar joined as a board member of Namaste Nepal in July 2019. He is a young active member from Sotang who is interested in social activities and improving education in the village. Previously, he was chairman of the school management committee of Deep Jyoti Basic School, Sakuwa. His role as board member is to timely keep update of the project activities of the school of Sotang i.e. Shree Balhit Basic School.

Dhan Maya Shrestha

Executive Member

Dhan Maya Shrestha joined as a board member of Namaste Nepal in August 2019. She belongs from Gati, Sindhupalchok. She is executive board of Gati Mother’s. Previously, she has contributed as a member of school management committee of Shree Kali Devi Secondary School and Gati Kindergarten. She has been actively participating and organizing various events in village. Her role as the board member of Namaste Nepal is to timely aware about women empowerment in the village and keep updating the activities of mothers group conducted by Namaste Nepal.

Nima Tshering Lama

Project Coordinator

Nima Tshering Lama is a project coordinator, he has been serving in this organization since 2011 A.D. He is from Helambu Rural Municipality, ward No. 2, (former Kiul Village Development Committee, ward No. 6, Ningale village) of Sindhupalchok District. He graduated Master in Development Studies from Purbanchal University. He is belongs to the Hyolmo ethnic community among different ethnic/indigenous community in Nepal. He has an in-depth knowledge and extensive experience of social services and social organization, as he was associated with several social organizations. He was general secretary for 6 years in Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association, the organization of the Hyolmo community in Nepal. He was a secretary for three years at the Hyolmo Service Center, the strong organization of Hyolmo community based in Kathmandu.

Jyotshana Ranjitkar

Assistant Coordinator

Jyotshana Ranjitkar joined the organization from first week of August 2019 as assistant coordinator. She is from Suryabinayak Municipality, ward No. 6, of Bhaktapur District. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social work with major English from St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu under Tribhuvan University.

Dolma Lama

Finance Officer

Dolma Lama is a finance officer of the organization, she has been serving from 2015. She is from Helambu Rural Municipality, ward No. 2, former Kiul Village Development Committee, ward No. 7, Sermathang village of Sindhupalchok District.. She graduated Masters in Business Studies from Shankhar Dev Campus, Kathmandu.
