Sameer Shrestha Memorial Scholarship
Late Sameer Shrestha, from Gati, was one of the school’s best students to appear in the 2015 SLC examination. Unfortunately, while awaiting his result, Sammeer passed away due to the massive destruction caused by the Earthquake on the 25th of April 2015. Namaste Nepal decided to do something to honour his wish to continue his studies. Towards this end, we have established a Scholarship in memory of the late Sammer Shrestha to provide bright and deserving students with the means to continue their studies with fewer financial impediments. We received the fund from ISET Nepal, i.e. Nrs. 100,000.00; although the fund was initially meant to relieve earthquake damage, our board has decided, and rightfully so, to use this fund on a cause that is more directly related to education in Gati.
