Namaste!

This is Krishna Kumar Thing. I am serving as the headmaster of Shree Namuna Simsar Basic School. Our school was founded to provide primary education to the children of Bugam, Dhunge, and other nearby villages. Due to its geographical location and the remote village, the education in this village is comparatively backward and pedagogically weak.

The previous location, near the Bugam village, was destroyed by the earthquake of 2015 and was buried by a landslide. As a result, the space of the old location wasn’t enough to construct a new school building. At the time, villagers and the school management committee were sad as they were helpless regarding the situation, so we were looking for support to reconstruct the school building in the village. Fortunately, we connected with Namaste Nepal, which has been working in Gati for a long time and committed to supporting the reconstruction of the school building in Bugam village. Finally, at the end of 2018, the school construction was completed and then shifted students to the new building. Likewise, the painting work and classroom decoration took a little longer because a landslide blocked the road access, and that’s why it was completed in 2020.

I would like to sincerely thank Namaste Nepal Freiberg and Namaste Nepal Kathmandu for their selfless and continuous effort in building construction and supporting providing quality education to the student of our school.

Thank you all.

Krishna Kumar Thing
